Apart from exporting chemicals, Engineering Goods and Pharmaceuticals & Food-based Chemicals, I.P.T.C. has branched out by expanding its activities to provide & participate in the growth of Basic industries in the developing countries. The company was successful in exporting turnkey projects (including erection, commissioning & maintenance) of two large projects.

The Company exported a turnkey plant for manufacture of 30 TPD of Sulphuric Acid, Alum & Sodium Sulphate in 1982, to Kenya at an estimated cost of US$ 5 million. The company has formed a Joint Venture for this activity.

Another breakthrough was achieved when the company got an order for a Steel Rolling Mill in Abu Dhabi. The manufacturing facility was set up and successfully commissioned in record time.
